CJL Investment Pvt Ltd has launched Kunaavashi Island Retreat & Spa, a five-star boutique resort in Vaavu Atoll. The resort will feature 71 villas, specialty restaurants, spa, and an infinity swimming pool. Kunaavashi can be reached by seaplane or speedboat. The resort is expected to open in December 2016 and is the first resort development in Maldives by private investors from China.
